Mixtape — Characters & Cast

The trio at the heart of Mixtape are Rockford, Slater and Cassandra — three friends sharing one last Northern California night in the 1990s. Below: who they are, their arcs and the supporting cast that orbits them.

Source policy: the three protagonists, the 1990s Northern California setting, and Rockford's "music supervisor" arc are verified on Wikipedia and confirmed in Annapurna's launch coverage. Supporting-cast names below are community-compiled placeholders pending confirmation.

Player Character

Rockford

The dreamer. Wants to be a Music Supervisor since age eight. The mixtape in her hand is the diegetic engine of the whole game — every memory she replays is keyed to a song she chose. You play her perspective for all 30 chapters.

Best Friend

Slater

The chaos engine. Skater, prankster, secret softie. He's the one pushing the trio toward the party at the Ritz. Most physical mini-games (headbanging, slingshot, slushies) revolve around him.

Anchor

Cassandra

The grounded one — sharp, sarcastic, often the first to call out a bad idea. Most of Act II is her side of the night. The Ch.17 rooftop choice is hers to react to.
