Mixtape — All Choices & Consequences
Mixtape isn't a heavy "choose-your-own-adventure", but several decisions reshape memory vignettes, dialogue tone and the texture of the finale. Below: every meaningful node, what it changes, and whether it locks an ending.
Spoiler policy: outcomes below are written generically — we describe what changes, not who lives or who dies. Detailed ending breakdowns live on /ending.
Working draft (May 8, 2026): the decision matrix below is a community-compiled tracker stitched from launch playthroughs and Reddit threads. Mixtape is not a hard branching narrative — most decisions affect tone and scene variants, not plot lines. Choices that DON'T affect the ending
- Conversation tone (snarky / earnest) in non-rooftop scenes — flavor only.
- Skateboard line choice in transitions — purely cosmetic.
- Tape-collecting across chapters — unlocks achievements but no ending lock.
- Mini-game performance — failing softball or slingshot replays the beat; doesn't branch the story.
How to roll back a choice
Mixtape autosaves at every chapter break. To rewind a decision:
- Open the pause menu → Chapter Select.
- Pick the chapter that contains the choice (e.g. Ch.17 for the rooftop).
- Replay from that chapter — earlier saves are preserved on the main timeline.
Tip: create a manual save at the start of Ch.17 and Ch.30 if you want to A/B both finales without replaying the whole game.
